Update

Just a few things I want to update while I have a bit of time. Ever since Ethan and Asia saw a commercial on Nick Jr. they've wanted these things called Bend-a-Roos. Ethan would quote the commercial, "No glue, no mess!" He thought I would buy them just because they didn't make a mess! After much asking and begging, I decided to get them. They've been quite a hit! Everyday since we got them, they've been playing with them for hours at a time. They come with instructions to make some pretty fun things.

Here they put them on the wall to decorate for me:

Here's Asia with a little bike that she put together:

Well, a few days have gone by since then and the Bend-a-Roos have become a thing of the past!! I'll have to get them out in a few days and it will be like a new fun thing again, I hope!

We decided to plant our garden last weekend since it looked like it would be the only time in May that we would have to do it. The weather was fine when we started, just a bit cloudy:

Then it started to get colder and rain. The kids had fun planting the seeds and playing in the mud:

It was naptime for Jacob and he was getting cold, but he liked finding worms and planting seeds also:

Hopefully it doesn't snow on our little seeds! I think we planted our garden the end of April last year and it did great. We'll see! Pray for sun! :)

One more thing. I heard Jacob moving the stools around downstairs. I went down to seee what he was up to and found this:

I guess he just needed his own little clubhouse to play in. He even put a little dollie in there to hug and kiss. What a sweetie!

Lately I'll go in to get Jacob out of his crib and he doesn't want to get out. He'll say, "Kooook" and I'll get him some books to read and he'll stay in there for up to another hour just reading his books. And when it's about naptime or bedtime he'll let me know. He'll say, "I tire" and he'll go upstairs to get his binky and blankie and whine until someone puts him in his crib! I guess he's just like his mommy, he needs his sleep!

Pretty cute! It's nice when children know that it's bedtime. Our niece knows when she is tired and she goes right to bed. So far, knock on wood, she is always like that when I babysit her. Hopefully she always does that! Ya right!

My kids also saw the Bend-a-roos. We'll see. Looks like you have a nice big garden. We need some warm weather!

So are you glad you bought them? That is what all my kids want...I have debated! Are they really not messy at all? Do they dry out?

Taneil, the kids really love them. And they are really not messy. I just put them all in one large ziplock bag so they don't dry out. I'm not sure if they will dry out, but we're keeping them in the bag. They're like wax things. They got them out again today and played with them for a couple of hours.

We have those Bend-a-Roos in Preschool but I guess in Canada they are called Wicky Sticks. I don't know why.

When I saw that first picture, I was worried for you! It looks like markers! Sam just got some bendaroos, actually I think they're wikki sticks brand. He was so wooed by the commercial, too. What a great garden! Good luck with everything!
